It will be NK, if AS goes after anyone.

Jetblue makes more sense to me, considering routes and culture.

We're still floundering our way through the current acquisition/merger. Why is anyone looking forward to another one anytime soon? No thanks

Unless management thinks they can go it alone, it would be better to have your pick of dance partners rather than wait till there's only one left... or none left, if DOJ views things differently than you do.

NK is making a strong push to change public perception and culture.

Jet Blue doesn’t have a contract and doesn’t have scope. They’re right for the picking. Only problem will be their debt. They are identical to Alaska, with the exception of planes.

From everything I see in our company communications they want to do just that and keep it Alaska Airlines without any further blending. Not to mention our newly acquired debt load deters us from buying much and or being bought. Now, that’s not to say they won’t merge, buy or otherwise. It just doesn’t look like it’s in the cards anytime soon. 5-10 years. But what do I know, I pilot, I fly plane.

AK debt to asset ratio is already paid back to a late 2013 level. Management has been aggressively paying it down.

Curious if you can point me to a source for that? I don't really know where/how to follow company finances like that

Why do we set our sights so low? Delta or bust on the buyout!

srsly, if we are gonna get bought out, I hope it's a step up and not back half a step like B6 or NK.
