I would like to get paid for that unproductive time regardless of where it is.

I agree. But apparently, according to some, we don’t really negotiate our contract so much as beg, cross our fingers and pray that management doesn’t smack us into yesterday.

If you are on long call you get 12 (midnight to midnight) calendar days off!! And you get to FLY everyday of Reserve!!!!!! It’s the best!!!!!! Also mainline capacity grew 5.2% in Q2 while Outsourced CPA flying grew 15.9%!!!!!!

But we don't need scope.. Skywest is just developing the route for us.

Hate to beat a dead horse here, but again, if you’ve had a chance to follow the other thread, according to some long term Alaska pilots, we’ll never scope... why? Cause management won’t ever let that happen. Why won’t they let that happen? Because they know we can never strike. How do they know we can’t strike? Because we fly to Alaska and no US President will ever let that happen.

That’s the apparent logic by some.

I assume they will create as many ALF’s as there are takers. Hopefully it will accomodate everyone affected

The plan is for 30 lines and 5 reserves each seat for the month of September...

The NY base currently has approximately 60 pilots each seat, so a little over half the guys will still be able to fly out of NY/EWR.... for at least a few more months....

I was being sarcastic of course and was following that other thread.

I’m confident we will get scope or just vote No until we do. I’m sure management at the Big 3 didn’t want to be limited in the amount of RJs they could toss around either but it happened.

Even if we cannot strike there is plenty that we can do to bring awareness.
