yeah, because in airline history, mergers have only happened once or twice and aren’t a recurring phenomena that have happened multiple times every decade.

But if Rona up and vanished (ie vaccine) that would likely mitigate furloughs since managers (at any airline) would be able to predict a recovery trajectory based on economic conditions alone, and might be afraid to get caught with their pants down with SWA on the prowl.
