Default Current State of the AS Jumpseat

DL guy here with a lot past rides on Alaska. Ever since COVID, I have stuck with traveling on the mother ship in order to avoid uncertainty of offline flying. Hoping to ride with you this week, LAS-SEA. 60 + seats available. Any tips or cautions for trying to jumpseat? Thanks!

Still blocking middle seats through end of year, but should be no problem. Just be at the gate an hour before departure.

Been getting quite a few jumpseaters so it doesn't seem to be an issue. That being said there are a few captains that won’t take any in the cockpit. The only weird covid issue I’ve had was a cockpit jumpseater that told the FO and I to wear our masks. He was sincere and being cautious in his own way I guess. We got him a seat in the back. Come one come all. Jump up and down in front of window to get my attention or flag me down when I check with agent prior to close. I’ll do my best to accommodate y’all.

Make sure you’re looking at the right number (authorized open).

A jumpseater telling an operating crew how they are going to operate?

I was just being sarcastic. I was just thinking it would’ve been funny if that was a six hour flight that that person was referring to
