I just flew with a 25 year SEA guy that ended up in open flying for December because he couldn't hold a line with Christmas off.

So AAG is deferring the jets at horizon for 2023 in exchange for giving OO all 8 of their slated orders plus 2 additional unannounced jets in the first half of 2022. When is air group going to get their S#!t together?

I’m not COMPLAINING. I’m making a statement of fact… here… for me. I’m just guessing…. That, unless you’ve upgraded to Cpt in under three years at another “major”, if you’re still in the right seat…. You can probably be assured Christmas off.

Just because I try and get out to a prospective candidate some realities….. doesn’t mean it’s complaint. I just want folks to know what they’re getting here so they can make a fair comparison. Geeze.

I know we live in an age where facts are fast and loose. But Seattle had 170 lines with Christmas off. 25 years seniority puts you roughly 50-60 seniority in Seattle.

I'm repeating what he said on the trip as he scratched his very grey head while perusing the open flying lines with clenched teeth. Perhaps he filtered out the red eye lines?

Facts show a 25 yr SEA guy could have easily held a Christmas Day off line.

Do you really believe that 70% of the Christmas off lines are red eyes? Plenty of 3-5 year FO's held Christmas off. Upgrade time is sub 5 years. Personally I find this amazing after/during a pandemic that wrecked the economy.

Year 4 guy here and after I remove the red eyes I’m factually getting my last choice of remaining lines.

I also put in for upgrade in all bases and was 125 numbers away from the most JR

I think you need to put the Kool Aid down.
