Doubt their language would allow it, that's scope 101. Also if they don't merge them, they don't get the mandatory arbitration.

I think they SHOULD run two brands for marketing, but likely to be one operation. Nobody in NYC or Tokyo who's planning a trip to HI is going to google "Alaska".

Management is still of the belief that the majority of the pilot group is very happy.🤔🤔🤔

Variant names will change, management seems confident that their plan will not.

Hope everyone is ready for another merger, I think we are in the bottom of the 7th. It’s not done but the tea leaves seem to say it’s close. HAL. I really hope the union is ready for this curveball. I think ALPA will be given 5 minutes notice this time around.

Management feels they are flush with cash and they want to push LUV around.🤔😱…. If they are so flush, “pay me.” I can’t believe that is the airline they want to get in the ring with. Time will tell. This could be embarrassing 😳.

They think the 320 has leprosy… they want those things GONE!

What’s the latest with your jetblue rumor that was hot then went cold. Still cold?

Cold, along with Hawaiian. Why would we do that? Why spend all that money to be roughly the same size? Alaska could merge with JB, Hawaiian, Spirt, Fronter, Sun Country and Allegiant and still not be as big as Southwest.

If a merger happens it will be Alaska and AA. To get it approved Delta with merge with JB. United can take Hawaiian. SWA can take Cun Country if they feel left out.

Alaska couldn’t deal with the acquisition of the a-320 family and they know it.. adding the 717, more 321s, the 330, and a dream liner order will be a non starter, not to mention they have to figure out how Hawaiians scope clause affects the Alaska plan

Oh, BM covets being a big player! He believes bigger is better, to include aircraft size.

I am confident AS reached out to JTBLU in 2015 and late 2019…. Nothing substantial ever matured out of those discussion is my understanding. Nothing would surprise though… and something is coming. I haven’t heard a cricket about Jtblu lately though.

AAL, Probably not but who knows. This noise would be almost impossible to detect though. ALK has regular, almost continual communication with AAL.. I guess that would be expected with a significant partner. If this were to go down, there would be no detection and we would all read about it a week later in the WSJ.

Successorship, ownership, section one… well lawyers, judges and don’t forget big dollar bills will all have a say in that

The brass is protecting something in that disclosure… kinda slipped it in. They are pressing!

Now, I understand why a Pilot living on the east coast is going around bragging, that he prefers to call in sick for the month of December, while working for another Airbus Startup in Miami.
Bragging about how much money he's making from two companies, while the rest of us are working and covering his sick time.
Someone aught to do something about this.

Concur. AA might do it just to instantly acquire 3000 relatively young pilots. It's starting to look like their other alternative is going to be flow ALL of their regional pilots over the next two years

Assuming the trust-busters would go for that, and I think there are some no-merger strings associated with CARES, not sure when those expire.
