The reserve system, as I read it, will likely have many senior people bidding it. The changes there are huge if you zoom out and contemplate how they will work.

On the outside looking in. Genuinely curious on why this is a hard no for some people. Pay rates are higher than UAs TA that came out. Protections with snap up clauses, and what seems to be QOL improvements.

Either way this is great for the industry, sets a new bar for narrow body pay. Especially with so many airlines in negotiations

Reserve, in a day silo system and not a system that rewards seniority in the slightest, is all of a sudden going to go senior?? Are you high?

How do you arrive at that conclusion? It's not like you can bid reserve as a senior pilot to avoid flying; if there's a trip that matches your availability and you have the lowest credit of the pilots on reserve, you're flying it. Nothing in the TA changes any of the fundamentals, just adds more long call options, a couple extra days off/year, etc. What am I missing?
