Well OTZ and Iamalaska were right. I urge everyone to take a breath go through the details. Write questions down, comments about the things you don’t like, including the parts you believe to be missing. Then after you digest it reach out to your reps and discuss it. Go to the road show and ask more questions. If you don’t like what they have to say vote no, if get your questions answered to your satisfaction vote yes. I don’t begrudge anyone for either side. Can’t wrap my head around which way this is headed, loud people screaming no, loud people screaming yes, then people like me that haven’t decided, need days to go through it and have my questions answered.

Take your time, get all your questions answered, and vote what’s best for you. No matter what anyone says, no place is perfect. Just go to all the other airline forums and read. It will be chalk full of loud angry people who want to burn their airline to the ground.

That kind of rational, unemotional, data based reasoning has NO place on this message board. I think the moderator needs to step in. 😉😂

I actually know his birth month and year. Surprisingly he’s not 12.

Whatever his age is, he writes at a level of a elementary remedial D-F student and possesses a maturity level of a 7 year old at best. Reminds me of that not too bright kid at the playground who was always bragging about his toys and sucking up to anyone of influence. If he’s an instructor here, he’s definitely a backdoor hire or was extremely lucky. You know what they say? It’s better to be lucky than be good.

Surprised he thinks nobody knows who he is. I do.

In any case, apples and oranges. UPS does not fly narrow bodies.

I said the same thing when Spirit got their new contract and rates.... "Oh, we'll be negotiating by 2019/2020, so no way we fall behind them"......here we are in 2022, Spirt leaped us, we missed an entire contract cycle and now we're just trying to meet the bar set in 2019. If you think this 3 year deal doesn't end up being a 7-8 year deal, you're crazy. We may be negotiating again in 2025 but that doesn't mean sheet. We were negotiating in 2019 too. We need to have a contract that we'll all be comfortable with, 7-8-10 years from now. For me, this ain't it. Too much money left on the table and too many negative precedents set for future negotiations. Don't forget, this group hasn't voted on anything since 2013. We've been under the same contract with a minor adjustment in '17, for almost 10 yrs. Retro NOW or we're setting ourselves up for the same struggle and eventual disappointment later.

10 years, with no pilots… are you kidding. You do understand how economics work?

uhm NK is making $260 an hour🙄

Read the executive summary a few times and pay close attention to the implementation section. Oh by the way, how’s our third step coming along? This TA looks more and more like a yuge turd. Most of us senior guys can do well with $306/hr and sail off into the sunset but how about we think as a team this time?!?! Section 25 needs to be explained in detail as there can be many loopholes from language such as “at the discretion of crew scheduling”. 12 days off on reserve (13 off in maybe 3 months out of the year) still does not address the QOL issues for our junior pilots. For me, the slap-in-the-face signing bonus along with willingly handing the company a bigger bat to beat us with and drag on future negotiations without being penalized is a no-go.
