Most of us senior guys can do well with $306/hr and sail off into the sunset but how about we think as a team this time?!?! Section 25 needs to be explained in detail as there can be many loopholes from language such as “at the discretion of crew scheduling”. 12 days off on reserve (13 off in maybe 3 months out of the year) still does not address the QOL issues for our junior pilots. For me, the slap-in-the-face signing bonus along with willingly handing the company a bigger bat to beat us with and drag on future negotiations without being penalized is a no-go.

Well said. Line holder Captain here. I’m worried about the new people. Look beyond the pay. Your vacation day is worth less than your daily guarantee. Doesn’t make sense.

OTZ is going pretty far out of his way to put down anyone who doesn't agree with saying yes to this TA. Like people said, go to the roadshows, bring up questions. One dude on APC (OTZ) isn't the voice of reason or should be who you look to for making your voting decision on. Surface level, I'd vote no on this. Good luck everyone.

Doesn't make sense for a lot of people, but one of the highest if not the industry highest. With the new work rules you could use your vacation (as little as a week of days) and only work 6-7 days that month. Easy to figure out when you call a rep and ask for a detailed description. Everyone needs to quit bashing and do your homework first. Yes the "retro" sucks, but go ask a rep what they actually wanted to give and what they were going to take away if ALPA kept pushing the retro. Doesn't mean you should vote yes or no, just go get information before being an emotional A$$. Thats for everyone, not just the one Im responding to

72 for 13 against…
there are more AS pilots on here then I thought. The thing that most often comes along with the yes vote in my message box, is some form of “the guys on here are crazy”

uhm NK is making $260 an hour🙄

Of course you only look at hrly rates. You're a child that just found out how to use emojis. You would have voted yes to the $280 offered by JL because $280 is more than $266. You're a simple person and that's o.k.
We don't have pilots NOW and it's not preventing them from putting out a TA that leaves a lot money on the table. What changes in 10 years?
If you understood economics and you also believed anything you write, why would you be a yes voter if the company,(according to you), NEEDS us to vote yes prior to Nov.1st? Based on what you say, we vote NO, we get more, because, economics....

I will not make any decision, yes or no until I see the whole TA, talk to my rep and go to a roadshow. Then, I will have a full view and decide yes or no. There are too many uncertainties with just reading the executive summary.
The podcasts are uploaded so I will be listening to them also. All of you should too.

If you understood economics you'd realize the yield curve is most inverted since the early 1980s. Good luck dragging this thing out and hoping for better results. Perhaps the MEC was advised this is the time to lock in work rules and scope. Are you all the same people who kept saying my MEC speaks for me? We have pilots. Also have over 3k apps on file.

Once again…. Another measured and balanced comment. Jeeze Louise this forum is getting out of control. 😂😉

We all just might need the language in section 1 more then the company actually needs a long term deal 🤔

Average D"aily Guarantee or Minimum?

Seems like Average daily guarantee should be a minimum daily guarantee. Though the summary language states each day will get 5:15, the name seems to suggest that the trip must average at least 5:15 a day. Hopefully contract language is crystal clear on that.

Also, on page 4 of the summary they repeat the retro paragraph with the only difference being the word (two-month). If that is the level of scrutiny the contract language was written with we are in trouble.
