In our current contract it takes 21 vacation days to not have to bid for the month and the TA now has it as 18 vacation days. I’m not suggesting either vote but that is a nice addition that isn’t widely published.

Because 50 ish people quit so they could fly bigger equipment? That’ll never fly with attrition at 4%.

I understand why the Alaska pilot may be compelled to vote yes but you must fight the Stockholm Syndrome and years of beatings. You are airline pilots at a 90 year old major legacy US airline, start demanding to be treated like an airline pilot at a 90 year old major legacy US airline and stop acting like a frightened, beaten housewife.
Hands down, the dumbest thing I have read on APC ever. These guys put everything they had into this TA… These are not OK guys, they are as good of people is you could find in any industry, we didn’t deserve everything they did for all of us…. Have you ever heard of gratitude…. Nope the angry 30 only know hate and bitterness, they are too dumb to realize they are the minority, they will quickly buy bag tags that say, “I voted NO”… 🙄🤭😂

Because they were literally going to be out of business if all their CA's left. AS doesn't quite have the same problem.

Everything they had? The response I got from a rep was, “we didn’t touch that because we only had a list of things that we could get fixed.” Simply put THEY. DROPPED. THE. BALL. Best negotiating time in history, and they couldn’t get it done.

If you’re an outsider, you need to listen to the podcasts on Spotify or hit up alaskapilots.org it’s got what you need. Just my guess, the most vocal, and senior folk don’t need QOL, they have seniority. So most just wanna pad their W2’s and retirements before screwing us junior kids one more time. I doubt most legacy folk would know a good deal if they had one stuck in their ass. Guess it needs to be written in braille for them to understand.

I think there’s a 10-20% raise in work rules alone, and while inflation might wreck your purchasing power, it can’t ruin the scope and the major QOL gains. The 1400 start for reserve is six 1/2 days off if you play your cards right, and the vacation re-write in PBS is sick AF. We’re gonna look mighty stupid taking this back to the mediator when the company gave us 90% of EXACTLY what we asked for. We still need a full language TA - just my humble opinion.
