I'm getting 10 hours of pay working the two Eves and finish between 9am-11:30am to commute home to celebrate the holidays themselves. Dolla dolla bills y'all! Not sure how I'll survive a Fairbanks or Minneapolis layover though...

Love it when the very serious” time value of money” crowd chime in.

How senior did those trips go?

Just curious, previous to new contract if those trips were uncovered and went to premium pay, how much would they have been worth?

1.5 X the block time if it was a hard time trip or 1.5X the credit if a soft time trip.

So in those three trips examples looks like at least an 75% pay increase just using the holiday override vs premium pay calculation. That's a win for pilots who fly holidays.

AND at least if those trips fall to reserves, they'll get paid extra too? Or does it just add credit to monthly guarantee?

Previous to the new contract, in theory, a trip in premium wouldn’t have been flown.

Just trying to learn, if a reserve pilot is assigned the holiday touching trip, do they get the holiday pay above guarantee or does it just go towards their normal credit for the month towards guarantee?

If you are on reserve on one of the designated holidays you receive holiday pay on top of guarantee.

Yeah the point is to discourage sick calls, and encourage premium pickup. Credit towards guarantee doesn't really get after that.
