SEA, SFO, LAX flying/base differences

New Hires seem to be going everywhere except ANC at the moment. Any differences between the bases? Less red eyes, better trips, less time on reserve, etc? I would be commuting regardless

I neglected to put PDX in the title but please comment on that as well.

Seattle has the most flying by far, and most likely be the best own metal commute options depending on where you commute from. I would expect faster seniority progression in SFO since it's growing right now.

Alaska Airlines only has one base and one hub. SEA. The rest of the airline combined is smaller than SEA. The rest of the airline has almost no O&D traffic. LAX, SFO, PDX and ANC are just “outposts”. Those facts drive everything in the outposts

LAX has most of what you're likely going for. Junior with great movement, reliably good weather, great flying (lots of Mexico, some Hawaii), and culturally friendly and relaxed. Highly recommend.

Junior? An entire pilot group has been sausage grinded through there. Some scraps have oozed north, but not much because the commute is better to la

A while ago I believe the SFO base was rumored to close. Is this still true? Is the Airbus still going away?

Hi all, been 6 months since the last post on this topic. With all that’s happened with the Airbus, how are things currently out of LAX? For new hires, how long to hold the base and what’s the approx timeline for CA upgrade? Thanks!
