CA Rest/Meal break issue resolved
The previous thread was closed, so here's a new one. Governor Nuisance signed a bill effective immediately CA law will exempt CA-based FAs from the state's meal and rest break rules if the FAs are covered by a CBA that addresses rest breaks.

And to think, some thought we'd augment flight crews on a transcon to New York. There was a far, far cheaper solution: lobby politicians to get an exemption.

The original lawsuit was specific to cabin crew. It created a precedent which could have very easily been extended to flight crew, but this law should deter anyone from wasting their time on that.
