Am I looking at the results of the latest position bid correctly? I see 45 FOs in other bases with ANC listed as their first choice. That's going to be a long wait!

It definitely ebbs and flows. 2 years ago we were forcing pilots into ANC.

It really depends on if they do more CA vacancies. My guess is it heavily relies on what happens with the Max deliveries.

I wouldn’t expect much movement at Alaska over the next few years particularly if the merger is approved.

And even moreso if Age 67 passes!

I don't recall that ever happening in the nearly 6 years I've been here. There was a time when pilots were forced up to ANC but that was during the dark days of the lost decade.

It may have for a class or two? When I was hired it was a 1 year wait that gradually decreased to about 8 months until the pandemic. 2018-2019. I wouldn't pin someone's hopes on an anomoly that occured for 1 maybe 2 classes at most. SFO is going to be the junior base for a long time and it's going to be exacerbated by UAL.

How long to hold the plug at ANC left seat and right seat?
