I would guess less than 100 at Alaska this year. I donít think furloughs are on the horizon yet, but Iíd give that a higher chance than Alaska hiring 400 this year, thatís just ridiculous.

It's not 400, that was corrected in an earlier post.

Said the 400 number was 200 Alaska and 200 Horizon.

I would be really surprised if Alaska airlines hires anything close to 200, my guess is around at most.

They once said, "2000 pilots by the year 2000." I don't think we ever had more than 1500 until the VX merger.

We were somewhere between 1800-1900 when the acquisition was announced. Just 16 years and a hundred or so short of 2000 by 2000.

From my understanding classes are still going, with one starting next Monday and another slated for 6 April. Is there any indication that this will change? Talk about a bad time to be back at the bottom of a seniority list...

As far as we have heard the classes are still continuing.
