I’ve personally experienced how fast that could change.
I gave my employer notice and then found myself out of a job with no class date when my 2018 class was cancelled.
Due to the heartless way I was treated I would take every statement made and add “for now”.

A Union buddy of mine who is plugged into this situation told me that the March 16 class is still scheduled as planned. They will continue to interview and hire, but future classes are going to be limited to fill the vacancies left on the last bid, 32ish slots or so. Sounds like any hires not being offered a class date pretty quickly will be put in a pool. That being said, this is all subject to change with the evolving situation.

If you've paid for sims, might as well use them, unless you can back out of the sims without paying and furlough the instructors.

A lot of it is out of our hands, but we should all be giving it everything we have. Hoping, as one united pilot group, we are able to pull our company through this unbelievably bleak time. There is opportunity, there is possibility but that will only be achieved or realized, by “everyone rowing together”.
