It is a thorough, well thought out, contractually compliant airline training program. No need to get the jump on it. Stark contrast to the type rating school on the Airbus side.

What he said. I was blown away at how much more put together the 737 program was than the Airbus stuff. Much lower stress due to the AQP “gates”. You can focus on one thing at a time, rather than studying for the oral and working on flows AND working on procedures, like the Airbus. They really do make it hard to fail. Enjoy!

Think back to the stories you remember about Mesa.... Since there are very few contractual rules about pairing construction, or anything else, there are almost no limits on what the company can do to save money.

Think 10 hour overnights, early starts and late finishes. Doing more with less, shoulda awarded all the EILs.
If it’s a late afternoon email from the DO, it isn’t good for pilots.

It might be good if you drive to work and like spending time at home.

Might be bad if you commute, or hate your wife and like 20+ hour overnights so you can spend time with your girlfriend(s).

I think the point in the current environment is that a more efficient pilot group requires less pilots.
