How things have changed since I've been gone! Free hotels for newbies? Good for them.
Appears that quite a few FOs have left for better paying jobs. If the arbitrator rules in favor of Alaskan Airways, they will surely be stuck with rejects and bottom of the barrel folks. Get ready for record number of ASAPs and O53s, Alaskan!

Regarding hotels for new hires: Training said that they were going to provide hotels for the next two classes, (August), and then step back and "evaluate" the results.
They are also only providing hotels for new-hires who are not "local". That is considered to be individuals living more than 100 miles away.
Three of twelve from the July 31st class were thus not offered lodging.

Class drop for 7/31 class
2 ANC
2 LAX
8 SEA
Being told about 1.5 years before a new hire can hold PDX unless AAG decides to increase block hours there.
Also being told that ANC will most likely be an option for the next class. Most classes for the foreseeable future will see SEA and LAX.
