Unable to confirm.
My guess is they are getting ready to start paying that new first year pay. Saying to themselves "Hey we just gave them a $85 pay rate. Let them pay for their own hotels."

I will say "Clueless!"

I'm shocked if this is true, after all the company could say that paid hotels for new hires adds significantly to our "total compensation" which in their mind is just another reason for us to take less than our peers.

I think Delta pays for hotel during indoc, after that you are considered ATL based.

And lets not fool ourselves, AS is not Delta. Even though the new AS is only about fifth the size of Delta, AS will run out of applicants long before Delta. Just because Delta does or does not do something doesn't mean AS can get away with doing it and get the same result.

It is true. I'm in class now and it's been confirmed that only July and August classes get hotels as part of a "test program" so the accountants can analyze the cost. Then the higher-ups will make the ultimate decision to start offering hotels full time or do something like Delta, e.g.. hotels for indoc, etc.

Pathetic. This place will become a revolving door soon enough on the bottom end

Welcome aboard! There is a lot of upheaval and some very raw nerves right now but the arbitration process will be complete no later than Oct 29th (likely sooner). I understand that they're pushing new hires through as fast as possible? Will your class be IOE complete by early October?

This is so typical AS. ANYTHING that involves spending money generates an EJ (Economic Justification). So its not surprising that they'd "test" the costs on a couple classes then go back to the "your dime" policy.

Mid October for the most part. 2.5 months start to finish. Is that faster than what they normally do? I'm also currently in class.

Took my class 3 months to complete everything, but we also had a lot of time off for thanksgiving, christmas, and new years.
