Rookie question. Remember as they open fo slots they will upgrade which will open more slots. Also this doesn’t include Allentown and Nashville by itself will be 50 more pilots. These slots won’t be accounted for till September

The spots that go unfilled on this bid are added to the spots that go unfilled for the first new hire class and get offered to the next class. The unfilled from that class get offered to the September class. Spots have to be offered to the current pilot list before they can be offered to new hires.

I thought this is where rookies asked their questions? 😀

I am in the 9/23 class. I live in FLL. Based on this drop does that mean that more than likely FLL will be filled by the time I can bid? Assuming I am the most junior out of the last 100 pilots hired I'm trying to mentally prepare myself to not live at home for a few months. Hopefully it wouldn't be more than that.

Base Seniority from the September seniority list.

Notes: No one is TDYd out of base for this list, so this is one of the more accurate pictures of the seniority list. VBDs are still included in the base they are in for the month, and not VBD. We had 16 pilots leave this month. That is almost as many as the rest of the year combined.

FLL has always run pretty junior. Yes, the 3 FLL spots will get filled before you get there, but it is likely they will also be vacated by guys bidding to other bases by the time you get there. There are already 4 more FLL vacancies on the current bid for the existing pilot group. I doubt those will get filled internally, so they should be available for September new hires.

You should always prepare yourself for not being home for the first few months at Allegiant. Training takes that long, and it can often take a month or two for the bottom spots in each base to shuffle out as guys move to the bases they actually wanted.

Thanks for the info! That sounds promising actually. I'm definitely ready for training mentally, I'm very excited about learning a new airplane. I really meant after training, as this isn't a commuting airline. I've commuted before to ORD and it sucked. I can do it, but knowing that FLL is a base that can happen for me eventually provides enough light at the end of the tunnel to suck it up.

How many pilots are assigned to a two aircraft base? Do I see between 15-12?
