They ain't no dummies, they KNOW whatever they tell employees will get publicly dispersed. It's just a feel good tactic.

I keep hearing about attrition, but I'm not seeing much... The month before we started hiring again, we had 7 senior to me retire/leave the company and another couple junior to me. That makes sense, we had 18 months of stagnation and no hiring. However, that was the only month like that during the entire no hiring period.

Here are the numbers from Aug to Jan...
Aug-Sep - 2 senior/1 junior
Sep-Oct - 0 senior/1 junior
Oct-Nov - 2 senior/5 junior
Nov-Dec - 3 senior/4 junior

Several of the last few were significant training issues, not the pilot's decision. If you want to say 11 out of over 100 new hires is significant attrition, ok. Not to mention, that doesn't even count the fact that some of those were guys that have been here for a couple of years moving on. I just don't think those numbers would drive hiring from attrition.

But that's just my opinion. Everyone has one they say!

You are correct. Everyone always thinks attrition is hirer than it is here. The second February class is to replace people that didn’t show up for the December and January classes.
