It would be nice if more folks participated in the Year end salary mega thread. What’s everyone at allegiant made this year? What’s the 401k compared to our peers.

1 year from now will be even more sad, whoever is still here will be 2 contracts behind. But home every night…oh wait nevermind, displaced out of base or downgraded.

Latest from the union:

Last best offer from company is no improvement.
Strike committee being prepared. Submit resumes if you can help out
time to contract most definitely in years not days or weeks
No progress on any sections - LTD, reserve,TDY, hours, work rules
Company willing to shine the airline to 500 pilots
Expect base closures and down grades

we were not exaggerating. No new contact soon. Nate is wrong. Save yourself and DONT come here.

So everyone on here trusts the Union 110% without question? I get it that the company plays games, but does the union not do the same thing? A wise man once said "The truth lies somewhere in the middle."

Some of these things simply dont make sense. Why would MG and company purposefully destroy their baby? IF attrition reaches a certain point and they DO shrink, the stock price would be so far gone and the attrition would grow exponentially.

And dont say "they are spiteful enough to do that". These are smart guys and they are not as emotional in their thinking as pilots are. For them its business. I cant fathom why they would knowingly torpedo the airline over some language and pay rates. Unfortunately we will never know 100% of the truth from the Company or the Union. There is always more to the story.

MG has a plan I am sure, and if you or I could figure it out we would be billionaires. You said it yourself - you cant fathom - neither can I and that's not important. Perhaps he is planning for the stock price to tank so he can take it private. I know, I know, that's not legal. But the SEC could never prove it. And its just my theory. Maybe he has a shadow company lurking with $$$ that is ready to take it over and shed debt from the hotel. Again, I don't know.

What I do know is that they are losing money by not making money right now. We should be growing, making money every day. Do you think he doesn't see that? He does, and he doesn't care. He has another plan. And he doesn't care who gets screwed over in the process. At this point for the union to be lying to us, fooling us, preventing us from getting a contract, they would be complicit in a devious plan which would be criminal. That isn't happening. That's just stupid talk. We may not have 100% of the picture from the union, but we have 95%. From the company we have but 10% of their plan.

It's very possible the purpose of the airline is to finance the hotel projects. There may be other hotel projects in the future. When they are ready they can split off the hotels and sell the airline or keep the airline. It's human nature to see things through our own point of view glasses. Pilots see pilot issues, mechanics see mechanic issues, hotel owners have their own vision. I think the only truth here is nobody can reliably see much more then a year down the road. All we can do is make the best decision possible with the information currently at hand.

I've said it before, and I'l say it again. The true value of this company is in its assets.

The stock used to fly artificially high, when the company was raking in money, creating a market cap around 2.5B. It was a huge poison pill to a leveraged buyout or even a merger, because nobody wanted to pay that premium on the stock. That's now down to about 1.3B. That 1.3B is basically the value of the assets the shell company and all of its affiliated subsidiaries own. The only way to unlock that value is to sell the company or to liquidate.

Maury is a control freak and he will never truly let someone else run his company. He'll kill the baby before he will hand it to someone else. We have all pondered for years what Maury's exit plan would be. Now you're seeing it. Maury's playing chess and everything is going according to plan. Andrew is going exactly where he's being led. A useful idiot to the company, that's all.

Nate and his buddy Cub are around the 200 seniority mark and he knows he faces either downgrade or being a reserve captain when the shrink happens. He knows he can't get hired anywhere else. That's why he and all the senior lifers have jumped on this sales job to perpetuate the pyramid and keep as much cannon fodder below them as possible.

Please listen to the advice you're getting. Don't come work here when regional airlines pay more and offer a direct path to the legacies.

Don't stay here and miss the biggest legacy hiring wave in your life. If you need a bigger sign than this that it's time to update your apps, I don't know what to tell you.

This is also a plausible scenario (exit strategy). Maury's retiring and Redmond never like the airline business. He's a hotel guy. So use the airline remnants to finance hotel growth, suck all the money out of it, and shut it down. Live happily ever after as a Travel Company that offers deals (Travel is our Deal!) and packages in their own hotels, with the flights contracted out. Running an airline is a pain in the ass. Hotels are easy comparatively, and much less unionized.

This latest update renders the position of “fence sitter” obsolete.

So when is your app going out? Until I see all of these posters preaching doom and gloom actually do something besides chime in on message boards I am calling their bluff.

And I can only dream of being in the 200 list (you probably think my actual name is Nathan and that you've doxxed me but it is not, I am not that simple).

AR's video was very disappointing. I don't know why he had to change the mood lighting in his house, the blue lights looked better. the red lighting didn't blend in with his makeup. I just can't believe that management and the union are still lightyears apart. the rumors I got from the union on the latest pay proposal was better than alaska's at certain ranges. Management even proposed a staffing model and an unstack percentage - how does that equate to lightyears apart? my source said that the staffing model and unstack percentage were less than Delta's but wouldn't give any specifics when i asked how they compared to other airlines, only that it was less than what Delta has - honestly not sure what to make of it?

Somebody needs to give us some actual details of what is holding this thing up? TDY rules? I still can't believe how inept management and the union have been in communicating with us. we get instagram videos and fancy filters from AR and a bunch of platitudes from management.

Margi - find one post where i said a contract was imminent. I have always said the earliest a contract would get done is 2024 and that it could be 2027 if AR and MG get into a d*ck measuring contest. But of course i am a management tool for wanting more transparency from my union and not drinking AR's koolaid at all times. I guess AR's mood lighting and makeup won you over ;)
