Depends on the base. In ABE there were no drop days for Feb until early last week when 3 new guys finished OE and got schedules and that created drop days for the entire first half of the month.

Hey now…
Never let the truth get in the way of a good story, we must only speak in absolutes and mostly unverified speculation.

There is no good coverage here. I'd say half the bases are impossible to drop in. Especially the larger ones.

Serious question. How many times in the last year did you see drop days in your base other than January and September?

Envision a roller coaster. That is our annual schedule. When we hit the peaks you will fly 90+ hours and weekends… no drops.

At the valleys you might be able to drop but if you’re junior then those same months are when you’ll be awarded vacation.

Or you'll be TDY'd out of your base.

It’s not based on conjecture. I’m comparing the list from last month with the one that they put out last night.

I know….I made the same calc.
Just wondering if the March list is correct.

In my experience about half the months you can drop down to 40 credit and all shifts will be available to drop, about half the months there was no drops.

Usually there is either one or the other so you can't really rebuild your schedule after you get it.

With Allegiant having so many bases now and planned for the future while having flexibility as one of their core values. What can be done in this next contract to help ease the minds of those that have certain roots in their desired location for base closures / shrinking etc. This to me is one of the ultimate Hercules heals to this airline. How could anyone living in a current Allegaint base have peace of mind of their long term future in where they’re gonna live? Our structure is certainly unique and IMO we need unique contractual backings to give pilots at least some peace of mind. Maybe more commutability? Payouts to pilots if their base closes?

Not sure which fantasyland base you're working in but this is certainly atypical. In my base, on rare occasion there may be 2 or 3 drops available when a newbie comes off IOE, but then as soon as the next resigning pilot's trips are pulled all those drops go away. I am not sure I've *ever* seen a drop available for a Sunday.
