Does allegiant hire restricted atp applications? I know frontier doesn't specify, but they do.

scheduling/work rules were not talked about at all this week. imo that means there is still a grand canyon separating management and the union on scheduling, work rules, etc.

Apparently management told the union that they want to make another offer on all the scheduling sections the first week of january.

But that aside, I agree the work rules have always been, and will be, the real sticking point. The long laundry list of much needed industry standard work rules are going to run smack dab into management need to keep it “special”, “different”, and “flexible”. Industry standard scheduling, reserve, and hours of service sections means the end of Allegiant being Allegiant. I don’t see this being resolved anytime soon and not outside of mediation & all it entails up to incl. self-help.

Id be thrilled with something that bounced around Alaska's rates. At the 5yr FO thats over a 50% raise.

Not sure it was me specifically, but I have said in the past we should write something into the contract that gives premium pay for any trips requiring overnight. My thought is that basically an overnight trip bumps the pay up to industry leading rates (or slightly more) and day trip rates are a bit below that. That gives an incentive for management to continue with day trips (cheaper for them) and compensates us appropriately should an overnihgt be required. I imagine there will be plenty to volunteer for the premium pay and covefrage wont be an issue (heck i would take a few here and there). But I am happy to leave a little money on the table in favor of being home at night!

You do realize that they save a very large amount of money on hotels with our day trip model.. if anything it should be the opposite of what you’re saying from strictly a financial stand point.

to fall behind again when Alaska’s pay snaps up to the average of the legacies? Did we not learn our lesson in 2016? And pay is only one part of the dozens of needed improvements.
