That’s what I was told it would be through the Eboard they can’t release any details until the TA which makes sense. I am curious how long the process will take, with a full contract I have heard 6 weeks but this being a bridge I would assume much faster maybe a couple weeks? Does anyone have an idea how long this should take?

Its out now. No contract details, just info on the why.
Head for the lifeboats, don't forget to grab your retention bonus on the way. |

4 to 6 weeks is what is expected. Hopefully it will be sooner.

4 to 6 weeks is a very long time to get the TA together especially with so little being changed. I think on the last contract the union EXCO and NEG teams worked all the week after the AIP in a conference room at corporate and got it all done and out. So I hope they do not take their sweet time getting that out it is not unreasonable to expect it done by the end of next week. We should have this voted on by the end of June. They need to put in the hours and get the resources necessary to get that done.

Yeah but look how horrible some of the contract language was. Let's do this one better, we will likely be living with it for 2-3 years.

It's almost like there isn't a deal yet, just like I said. An AIP does NOT equal a deal. So, people saying there was going to be an explainer yesterday were wrong again (just a Q and A that explained nothing about the actual deal). Just like they have been with every other 'rumor' so far from your father’s brother’s nephew’s cousin’s former roommate. Why would the company NOT drag their feet another 6 months? What is the downside? The NMB and mediator won't even schedule meetings. They can stall until the Second Coming, and it wouldn't hurt them all being overstaffed an all. In fact they would benefit, more people leaving and less retention bonus payouts. Now, maybe a TA can be reached sooner rather than later if the lawyers blindly just signed on the dotted line, but is that something you want in a contract you will be stuck with for another 5 years? Assuming the NO's don't vote it down that is......

You're actually on to something, and that's what I was told. They will be working on strong language with the attorneys, so there's no "misunderstandings".
While they do that, can we as a group start a lawsuit against JR, JA, BK, JC, and JK for the **** they did to us? After that QA it sounds like there was never an imminent strike. I had an FO today show me a screenshot from JA saying in December we’d be screwed if we merged with Sun Country because those dip sh*ts had no plan. I seriously want to know when the teamsters is going to grow a pair and file meaningful charges. We should at the very least demand those f*cking pieces of trash pay back every dollar of FPL they took. If you’re at American reading this, be very very very weary of JA, BK, and JRL in the April and May new hire classes. They’re the worst kind of people. They ruined 1,400 pilots lives and pulled the chute when they realized they f*cked up. |
