the training department is not fine. Well as of 2022 it was not fine. Five airlines on my resume and allegiant is on the bottom of the list. That program was run by a bunch of clowns.

training dept is way different. They finally brought in some of our most experienced APDs to run the place. It’s gotten much better.

not saying it’s awesome, or as good as other shops, but it is not a disaster. And definitely not run by clowns.

not only that... the pay is highly laughable. Why would anyone ever leave a $90-$100 paying regional to join allegiant is beyond me. They interviewed me and I gave them the TBNT.

That’s very good to hear. It was a **** show when I went through the program.

There is a class every 3 weeks indefinitely, they try to fill to 24. The last few have been close to full. They will skip Chistmas week so 120 more by the end of the year.

Still amazes me that we are having 20-25 new hire classes now.

i’m amazed that so many new hires are coming here. We hit a rough spot where we only had new hire classes if 8-12 and three months later it’s more than doubled.

I love it here, it’s the easiest flying job out there for most guys. But most candidates and new hires think the grass is greener.

i got an interview scheduled with allegiant. Im curious if my currency lapse of 2 years would be a problem. I got 3000 Jet time and 1000 of than on the A320 however my last flight was 2021 , was unable to fly due to family /immigration reasons but i am back now and ready to fly - any airline! Should i push through the interview knowing i might be wasting their time?
Thanks

If they called you to interview and if the break in flying was indicated on your Resume you should go.
