Why aren’t they getting a vote?

If both unions prior to agree to who takes over than you do not have to vote. That is usually if one group is a lot larger and would likely majority vote for current union. G4 pilots though being the larger the larger group probably will be more for ALPA so unless IBT just conceded that a vote will likely have to happen.

Here is to the hope that whichever union gets voted in, the new JCBA surpasses either of our current contracts. (but lets hope its ALPA)

The G4 pilots have an interim agreement between Allegiant air llc and the pilots in the service of Allegiant air llc as represented by the international brotherhood of teamsters airline division local 2118. It is an interim agreement for retention bonuses we have been accruing since May 2023. It says in there Allegaint air llc is the “company” and the international brotherhood of teamsters airline division is the “union” collectively the “parties.” It says we get our retention bonus 60 days following the ratification of the “parties” amended cba. So we have no choice but to go with teamsters until we get that money.

How much are those bonuses worth? In dollars.

Average CA is over 200k at this point. Average Fo is over 100K. I am not sure the comment that we have to stay IBT for that to still be a legal contract, If you had a New CBI even though it would have been signed by teamsters it would not be voided if we went to ALPA, I am sure smarter reps from places like ALPA National will be able to clearify that for allegiant pilots.

I’m absolutely certain that we can’t risk going ALPA as G4 pilots because it would put our Retention bonus in jeopardy.

There will be false information reassuring us that we will still get this bonus if we switch…

But we absolutely need the cash to hit our accounts first before we make any changes.

Thats the kind of management we have here.

I’m not sure either. Good point about how a CBA would carry over. It’s something we need clarification on since it’s an interim agreement and not part of our CBA.
