Quote: You guys sure are defensive. That speaks volumes.

Incidentally, the title of this thread is "Allegiant work rules."
You invited the comparisons, by coming to an allegiant thread.

Quote: As a QX pilot told me once, "The only thing the IBT is good at is collecting dues."

Quote: If they’re screwing over the qx pilots, then why don’t they vote them out of there? Just like ups and netjets pilots did? Haven’t the teamsters been on property at qx for over a decade, but still there? I don’t get it. Qx pilots hate their union, and aren’t doing anything about it.

You never did answer this question. So what’s up with your bro’s over at qx? Teamsters screwing them over so bad, and they haven’t thrown the bums out yet? Isn’t ALPA right next door? An in-house not an option?

Shouldn’t you be helping ALK group rid the northwest of teamsters?

I can't wait until we start serving PAE and ANC.

Quote: They're Teamsters. The best thing the Airline Division of the Teamsters is good for is collecting dues (according to QX guys who know).
I think prat will come around to our side after Delta does a hostile, and he gets displaced to jfk.

This could be a real possibility as ALK becomes more and more distracted by big D’s offensive. That mulit-billion dollar war chest wont last forever.

Quote: You mean that success that led to the DHL buyout, the gutting of the airline, the loss of 9500 American jobs and the furloughing of virtually the entire pilot group? We have a very different idea of success.

Glad to see you finally recognized the need for a Union (even IBT) after years of being one of the leaders in the downward spiral of the piloting profession. Who was it, after all, that accepted the "four tier based on profitability" pay scale?

Hey, Dawg, I support you 100%. I just think you chose the wrong Union. However, at least you chose one...finally. I salute you guys for at least doing that. Good luck in your struggle. I'm afraid that you're going to have to actually strike to get any traction with your obstinate management. I'd start socking away as much as you can for a strike fund.

Prat, my buddy at Delta told me sea gonna be a 717 or 320 domestic base, he also said Juneau is going like gangbusters. Are you concerned? I would be. You thought BLI was a thorn. What is ALPA national doing to prevent this incursion? Are you getting your money’s worth? Looks like alpa is just collecting dues. Maybe you guys should go in-house to prevent a bad sli?

Careful now. I know some really good guys at Alaska. Most of them couldn't care less about allegiant or have any axe to grind. This is one guy, probably doesn't even work there.

Packrat does not have a job. He may have worked for Horizon or Alaska at some point. He spends his free time poking at people on various threads to get a reaction. He probably does not believe half the things he says. Just take his comments with a grain of salt or amusement if you like. I mostly feel sorry for him.

Read your own post there, Velocipede or Fish Freighter or Packrat or whatever name you're using these days. You derailed it.
