I heard that there will only be small classes until August and then no more this year. Also heard just md-80 for new hires as the 320 training is backed up and will be used strictly for upgrade and transition until 2017.

Airbus training is certainly backed up. A friend going thru upgrade is expecting about 6 weeks between ground stuff and sims.

All Airbus until the end of the year. 15 people in the May class. They are utilizing a contract simulator in Miami, so that's how they're getting relief on the pipeline.

Right now LAX is going very junior on the FO side but you may never upgrade there - very senior & overstaffed on the CA side. Also keep in mind 90-minute callout time/Allegiant FO pay/housing costs equation....

If you're new hire-Bus, expect LAS for sim. MIA will be for transitions and upgrades with Airbus instructors, unless we have enough instructors to cover MIA? Are they telling new hires MIA for sim too?

We can be our own worst enemy. Stop picking up mission modes. Write up airplanes when necessary at outstations....it's pretty simple. If we wanted to affect speedier change, we could.
