Give the guy a break though, this is a dead horse at this point.
For guys that have one of the coolest jobs in the world, paid money to fly high tech machines and travel instead of sitting in a cubicle, we argue and b*### about the dumbest things here. Platform, airplane, MWS, second wife, who cares?

My insight probably doesn't amount to a whole lot. I guess I was putting emphasis on long term viability since this was a new guy.
I am not saying anything would close. I guess in worse times just about anything could close but I feel the least exposed to downsizing would be DFW and MIA. I am more than "hub" shy when it comes to places AA dumped many dollars into just to pull out a few years later.
PHL is sizable and maybe the comparison is mute but at one time San Jose was large too with several international flights to Tokyo, Taiwan, and Paris just to name a few. It was a long time ago but I would have never figured it would go away. PIT seemed very similar.
Could history repeat itself after yet another merger...I sincerely hope not.

Probably because some guys have smaller MWS than others. Just a guess.

Life is so good we have to look for things that bother us.

A wise observation. Failure to complain about anything might cause the "Good Deal Limitation Fairy" to pay you a visit.

Yes.....

I'll complain.

This obviously isn't the right "platform" for levity.

(Too soon?)

I know.... it's long in the tooth, but it's still cute.

I'm gonna go ambulate to my 'metal-composite aircraft, twin fan jet, fixed-wing, long-range' platform and leave you to it.....

Laters.

Great question... I'd be interested in the answer to this as well.
