Which platform at which base?

How about Major Weapon System (MWS)? I guess that doesn't work for an airliner either. That is the term (MWS) I used to use when asking a former AF pilot what they flew, but older guys don't know that term, so I switched to "what did you fly?"
Give the guy a break though, this is a dead horse at this point.

I am not saying anything would close. I guess in worse times just about anything could close but I feel the least exposed to downsizing would be DFW and MIA. I am more than "hub" shy when it comes to places AA dumped many dollars into just to pull out a few years later.
PHL is sizable and maybe the comparison is mute but at one time San Jose was large too with several international flights to Tokyo, Taiwan, and Paris just to name a few. It was a long time ago but I would have never figured it would go away. PIT seemed very similar.
Could history repeat itself after yet another merger...I sincerely hope not.

Probably because some guys have smaller MWS than others. Just a guess.

I'll complain.
This obviously isn't the right "platform" for levity.
(Too soon?)
I know.... it's long in the tooth, but it's still cute.
I'm gonna go ambulate to my 'metal-composite aircraft, twin fan jet, fixed-wing, long-range' platform and leave you to it.....
Laters.
