Jumpseat LAX-SYD
I work for Frontier, and I'm looking to jumpseat LAX-SYD around December 27th. It's been 12 years since I jumpseated to Australia. Any advice? I remember that on the return trip, I had to intercept the crew when they checked in because the gate agents down there aren't used to jumpseaters. Does there need to be a cabin seat available?

Both of the previous posts are correct. Here is from AA's reciprocal JS agreement with Frontier:
"INTERNATIONAL jumpseating is allowed if there are available seats in the cabin. Checkin should be at the ticket counter or service center no later than an hour prior to departure, at the gate no later than 45 minutes prior. Applicable taxes will be charged. The following are the jumpseat listing procedures for Frontier Airlines. Listing for a flight is HIGHLY recommended, but not required. List via https://www.id90travel.com Select LOGIN.. 1) Input American Airlines 2)Username: aaemp (aa = the employing airline's two letter/digit IATA code), so the generic entry for any American Airlines pilot is "aaemp" (do NOT enter your actual employee number here, that entry comes later) 3)Password: 001 (American's IATA airline accounting and prefix code) 4) Select FLIGHTS..You have now entered the reservation system. Go to REASON FOR TRAVEL...The next step is IMPERATIVE. You MUST select "pilot commuting" in order to make a JUMPSEAT listing on Frontier Airlines. 5) Go to CHOOSE AIRLINES and select Frontier Airlines. 6) You can now view flights and make your listing. You may opt to JOIN id90travel.com, this will expedite any future listing you make when jumpseating on Frontier Airlines. Pilots not listed in the ID90 drop down menu, may be able to call the Frontier Airlines reservation number at (800) 432-1359 and list as an S4OA(CASS participant) or SA9P(Non CASS participant). If time permits, agents may check the loads for you if you ask them. It is very important to tell them to list you as a S4OA if your airline is a CASS participant or as SA9P if your airline is not a CASS participant. If listed incorrectly, it will cause problems at the gate. Routes and schedules can be found at www.frontierairlines.com."

FYI, we went to SYD December 26th, 2016. Bought tickets. Would not have made it down or back offline JS. This is the highest travel time to SYD. We came back around January 10th and UA said no SA's had left in 4 days to either SFO or LAX.
UA just announced IAH-SYD, so that might be a way down this year as it is a new route.
Also another FYI, these flights are often weight restricted.
