In addition to those scenarios already mentioned, I try to pick up a lot of easy 1-1s when someone痴 silly optimized 5 day PBS trip falls apart and they need someone to cover 1 operational leg. Think fly the last flight of the night DFW-OKC, layover 11-12 hours before the scheduled deadhead back the next day, no show that deadhead and go home early at 6am or whatever. 10:30 or 15:45 (premium) pay for an hour of block and gone less than 12 hours from home.

Greetings everyone, I got my CJO earlier in the year at a hiring event and shortly thereafter did the paperwork for an Option 1 first available class; however, I won't be out of the military until December 27. From what I've read here I imagine the first class in 2024 will be January 3 which is my goal. I recently got the HR folks to start working the hireright (all done and submitted, in progress), drug screening done, and doing fingerprints early next week. Am I missing anything else that I need to push HR to get done? Thanks in advance

Sounds like you have done everything. They are still pushing current interviewees to take earlier dates because the classes through the end of the year aren't yet full. So don't worry; Jan 3 is still wide open. Once your fingerprints are done they should formally invite you to a specific class.
