Default 2018 domestic hotel summary

Thought this was interesting. I kept all my keys last year and did a count today as I do some spring cleaning.

143 nights away. Includes 15 in the Red Roof (pre or post commute).

21 Hilton
20 Sheraton
18 Marriott
15 Red Roof
15 Courtyard Marriott (I dislike these the most)
14 Crowne Plaza
11 Holiday Inn
6 Wyndham
5 Hyatt Regency
3 Sandman
3 "generic"
3 Residence Inn
2 Hyatt Place
2 (Richmond)
1 Atrium
1 Club Quarters
1 Drury
1 (Lubbock)
1 Westin

Interesting. I like courtyards but moral of the story we need more Westins.

LAS Westin had some stank to it. Other places vary. Hit them about the substandard ones.

Overall i can’t complain about our hotels. Obviously some aren’t ideal but most are very good.

Since the merger our hotels are so much better than the airways days. Hotel Penn lol

I always considered the keys as property of the hotel; taking them as petty thievery. But then again, that is where my moral standards are.

Actually federal law was enacted to prevent hotels from charging guests for their keys.

But since I'm a greenie anyway I've already bundled them up and will take them on my trips where I visit the specific hotels and drop the bundle off. I'm not wasteful. This was just a fun project for the year.

Is that pilot math? I average around 16 days a month (4x four days) and took my vacations. Didn't work a day in November for example.
