the sooner you leave the regional you’ll be better off. American Airlines has the same low quality of life regionals have but with double the pay. My .02 is to budget your expenses on 74 hours. You’ll be 1000 times happier. Your family will be too. You need seniority to reap the benefits of soft time. This job isn’t healthy. The less time you spend here the longer you’ll live. My income is already about the same as most group 2 mainline Captains minus the 401K contributions. I have a lot of obligations and responsibilities so I work hard to make sure my families needs are met. But I would also like to retire somewhere between 55-60. |

So during Indoc, you’ll be picking airframes and training slots. The end date of the training slot you pick will be the date of pay. So year one pay ends on that expect training completion date 12 calendar months later. As far as training pay I believe (I don’t have the contract in front of me) you get the average line value each month until the first full bidding month after IOE completion.
Sorry if this is poorly worded, my brain is running too many things. |

More like end of February or early March. More likely March since you are running into the holidays

Just wanted to clarify, my hire date is Oct 30...you think it’ll still be that late?

Not sure if you mean your hire date or indoc class start date is Oct 30? Hire/CJO date means nothing. Take your indoc class start date and add two months...that will be close to your pay date.

Indoc started Oct 30. Finished training Dec 20 (Sim Checkride). I understand it’s a couple months later, I just figured there’d be something more concrete than close enough. Thanks!
Whatever the estimated date was is when 2nd year pay will be effective. |
