Your mistake is not getting the proper mindset. It's about mergers and acquisitions, and the resulting fees. The consulting contract, the board seats, the golden parachute at the end. The money to be made at all the investment houses.

Oh the SLI would be epic, to be sure (decade long widebody fences, minimum...), but the goal wouldn't be about pilots, it's about KDA, locking up the northeast and as much of the premium transcon market as possible, and lots of feed to a resurgent JFK and BOS transatlantic hubs.

AA 4th quarter earnings are up 19% YOY. Just shows AA is on the right track and positioned for future continued success.
