Leave SWA for AA
Has anyone left SWA for AA? How many years were you at SWA. What are some of the major differences (pay, trips rigs, health care, ease of trading trips, layovers, etc.). Do you think you would do it over? Thanks!

I personally know four pilots who have left WN for AA. One lives in PHX, while two live in ORD. They all appear to be relatively content with their decision. WN is a great company, other than that, I have no more to add. Best of luck to you in your future endeavors!

I left WN for AA after 6 months. LUV WN but a young pilot group means slow seniority progression and flying a 737 for 26 years wasn't what I wanted to do. AA offered me a job shortly after I started at WN and that was that. It would have been much harder 2-3 years in...but it wasn't. The phrase an old friend told me when I was debating it was: At AA, you can be whatever airline pilot you want to be.
