Builds character.
Gets you a better job.
Puts another commuter out of biz.
Hopefully jobs return to mainline, after all the aircraft you were flying did not belong to you.
Better to be furloughed in your early days than your later days.
One day you will understand.
And, go back to your own board.

This is my forum. You're an *******. Period.
Builds character? People need to be laid off to "build character"?
While I want the flying to return to mainline, I don't want it at the expense of another pilot group. We should absorb it back. With the pilots and flight attendants.

Try having some compassion for those about to be out of work.

Is this true? Ive thought regional pilots would love 737s and 320s to be regional airplanes. They would pay $5-7 more than the E-175 or CRJ-700 and go super senior.
Is there any validity to the point that more regional pay positons actually lower pilot pay for the group as a whole?

More regional jobs means more pilots paid less money. More mainline jobs means more pilots getting paid more money. It's that simple.
I'm happy for you that you got picked up by AA. You should use this time in between class to beef up on the importance of scope in terms of the protection of your job, and the betterment of all your fellow pilots.
