You are correct. There are many stations where ground ops for AA is not handled by AA employees. It is a point of contention for AA rampers/agents, as you can imagine. They have their own scope troubles to deal with. Not to state the obvious, but Parker would love to drastically reduce the number of stations that are crewed by AA employees.

honestly... I think no one from Trump, Congress, medical experts, Wall Street, Doug, Captains who’ve “been there”, me, you, or anyone else have any clue how this play out. Wild speculation at best.
this is a “new one” for America and at this point all you can do is sit back and prepare for worst and hope for best. I literally kept myself up at nights worrying and reading and wondering and crunching numbers. I’ve gone over my finances and no exactly where I sit and how long I can go without a job.
I’m done with it. No more news. No more watching stock market. No more AA/APA blasts. I’m putting a hiatus on all of it and gonna take advantage of this time to connect with my kids, make some long overdue phone calls to old friends, help my neighbors out who need some help, and fix some crap around the house. All I can do. I’m not that smart and people wouldn’t listen to my ideas anyway.

let’s hope so. It makes sense though... we’re going to have an excess of pilots no matter what. They would be better suited to man the operation for their “plan” 6-9 months down the road from now to minimize training. It wouldn’t make a lot of sense to push a ton of guys down the list if they aren’t going to furlough.
That’s what I’m thinking. I could see displacements if they furlough, but not right now.

yeah, they still have a few new hires to train, then all the 76/190 guys to spin up on their new jets, which hopefully will take us through the fall when they can reassess and see if they need to displace more, furlough or whatever.

true but if the yearly total, I THINK, gets to a certain number of mainline fights then that station has to be run with mainline employees...i.e it’s a huge cost advantage for Delta not having to worry about this scope clause...again this is what I have heard/been told, I don’t have a written reference to prove it.
