That’s a mystery, I attended NGPA and 2 other meet and greet events this year and I’m still waiting. I know there’s a few other folks on here who are in the same boat as me. - Received the success factors email (HR portion) but no interview invite.

How much time went by before you got that email?

2-3 weeks. Send me a direct message if you have further questions, I’ll be happy to answer.

Are you at a wholly owned AAG regional?

AA New hires:

1. How long is reserve lately in MIA, PHL, LGA? Are you being used or sitting a lot? All 3 Commutable?
2. Crash pads or cheap hotels in these areas?
3. Medical benefits kick in day one?
4. Is class seniority based on age? If so, can you pick available base?
5. How long is indoc? Sims?
6. Short call/long call?
7. I live in MLB. About 2:40 to MIA. If I were lucky enough to get MIA as a base, is this feasible to stay at home for a callout? How long is short call?

Thank you.

Reserve times are varying greatly it's hard to say though Miami probably would be the shortest time on reserve.
Plenty of crash pads or cheap hotels if you desire.
Yes on benefits.
Seniority in class based upon age
In doc and Sims is pretty variable, some people waited months although I believe those times are shrinking.
Depends on the base but long call is Junior where I am.
My preference in base is short call.
Long call is a 12-hour call out and short call has no official timeline. The most people rough it at around 3 hours. But contract says something along the lines of "prompt"

People in LGA are only seeing 2 - 3 months of reserve before holding a line in LGA. Yes, you will be fine at 2:40 hours away from MIA. American is about the only airline that would be acceptable. You'll find the cheapest and most convenient crashpads at LGA. Plenty within 10 minute walking distance from the terminal. But you should be able to hold MIA right out of training.

3) yes
4) yes
5) indoc and base orientation is 15 days
6) sims are a month (after 2-3 month sit)
7) short call 2 hours

That’s not a correct statement…there is no defined window at AA for short call…be prompt and be smart

MLB to MIA in 2-3 hours is doable unless they call you at rush hour. Then PBI-MIA in 2-3 hours is questionable.
