Looks like they're no longer using pilotcredentials and switching to another service.

ooof, hopefully it will transfer everybody's information. Imagine having to type everything in again? However from the company's perspective it would be a good way to filter out dead apps.

SuccessFactors. Nothing was saved but something pulled in my previous address history.

They're supposed to be migrating the data over from the old service. Not sure if it's happening in stages but it seems as though not all data has been moved at the moment.

Yes, I see the same thing now. Hopefully most of my data will pull over in the next few days. Only time will tell.

Where are you seeing this. Where is the success factors site? All I see is the disabled AA pilot credentials page.

No data other than my name shows up currently in the successfactors site.

Should have been an email with a SuccessFactors login, it just asks you to create a password and import your resume and info. Check spam folder perhaps.

Yes I had a series of three emails stating exactly what to do. They also included a link to the Pilot Skills Test if you had not completed it prior to 14 May, but I have already completed it. I do not see anywhere on the new application site to input flight hours or anything specifically related to a pilot application. Very interested in how the migration of the old info goes.

What email address did they come from? I’ve got nothing in any of my folders…

jackpilot 05-17-2023 07:15 AM

Neither did I. No emails.

iceman21 05-17-2023 07:20 AM

I got an email on how to login to success factors on March 9th but that is it. My address and personal info is in there but nothing else.

If you click on the AA ad banner in the sidebar of this page it goes to pilot credentials.

Success Factors

I had my app in draft mode and did not yet complete the pilot skills test. I did not get an e-mail to go to success factors or anything else. I spoke with someone on the hiring team and they said that the application site should be back online sometime later this week. But it sounds like some of you are receiving instructions to do otherwise on the success factors site. Any ideas?

not a big deal if you’ve already been invited to the interview, they will scan and upload the documents. However a lot are being sent to the review board from my recent experience and they won’t meet possibly for at least another week.

I have not received an interview invite yet. Hopefully it will happen soon. At least my skills test is complete.

I have to wonder if anything from the Pilot Credentials portal, to include the Pilot Skills Test, will get transferred to the new SuccessFactors portal. Hope so....

Great, thank you. I met that deadline by a week, but I haven't received any e-mails: no confirmation that my app was received after completing the Pilot Skills Test, and no e-mail about the transition to SuccessFactors. So since their Pilot Credentials portal is closed down, I have no indication that AA still has any of my information from my Pilot Credentials profile(s).

But one mildly encouraging sign: when I update my primary ("Global") Pilot Credentials profile, it still (appears to) complete the data sync to my AAL profile. But right now I don't trust Pilot Credentials very much...

jriggo 05-18-2023 11:11 AM

Looks like the new application site is up and running. I received another email this morning with a link to it. Most of my data pulled over with out any issues. None of my attached files pulled over however. The new site is: pilots.aa.com. I had to creat a new account and then all of my data showed up. Not sure if you have to wait to sign up until they send you a message saying it is ready for you or not.

Based on the age breakdown currently, you'd be between about 520 and 665 depending on when your standing among 32 year olds if hired today

I haven’t received any emails. Spam folders checked too. My application was 90% complete so it wasn’t live- but hours of work are apparently gone? No communication about it either? Recruiters don’t seem to know anything? This type of mismanagement doesn’t give me a great impression of the company. 😓

Hasn't this only been an issue for like a week? Just give it some time.

Solohawg 05-18-2023 04:44 PM

For those who haven’t yet submitted on pilot credentials, use pilots.aa.com. I had to re-enter all of my app data but I was able to do it in 3 hours. The format is slightly different and do not use any other browser other than Microsoft edge. There were errors when I attempted to use safari. Also, when you hit submit, it saves and also goes “live”. I didn’t see any other places to save in draft mode.

I have heard that there is still a minimum of 1,000 turbine, but don’t see that listed anywhere. Can someone confirm?

I cannot confirm, but I got the interview invite within a week of updating my app to 1000 hours turbine

We had an update from the head of pilot hiring yesterday and 1000 turbine and current makes you very competitive (you would get an invite) If you don’t have that, but are otherwise qualified, you are still competitive, but would be in a lower tier based on how the algorithm sorts turbine hours.

Yesterday the head of pilot hiring said they are moving away from Pilot Credentials. It looks like this is the move to the new system you are seeing. It will shake out over the short term, and yes, you may have to re-do your application. But if it wasn’t submitted, then there wasn’t really an application to move over. Sucks, but stay positive and knock out a new one.

Anyone get a cjo with requirements to complete next CQ EVENT. If so does a proficiency training sim event count? Was told need CQ event and have that coming up. Was told send results before I can get class date. Just want to make sure that qualifies.

I am a captain and instructor pilot for my company with over 1,000 hrs PIC turbine, but fly Lears in a 135 operation. What are my chances of being hired at AA and with the recent economic situation, is there any talk about possible furlough if we hit a recession? Thanks.

Chances are 0 if you don’t apply. You’re competitive. American is still making money. If there’s a sudden downturn, you might be better off here than other places, due to the mandatory retirements we have.

I’ve never heard of any airline requiring you to complete and then report the results of an upcoming CQ event before the CJO becomes official. That’s a lot of pressure riding on a CJO.

Did you fail or stumble in initial training or upgrade training at your current airline? I believe at Delta they want to see 24 months of a clean training record, so maybe that’s why they want you to report your annual CQ/sim check ride.

It’s fairly normal for pilots to turn their two week notice in earlier to avoid CQ if they have CJO(s) lined up. It’s called risk mitigation lol.

When you say "recent economic situation" you really mean - when legacies are enjoying record profits 4 quarters in a row? Yes, apply now. I had plenty of corporate and 135 pilots in my class.

Has anyone gotten a WhatsApp group going for the 5/24 class that might be willing to send me the link? I’ve been looking around and can’t find anything.
