I am also not optimistic. Something far below what people expect could get to a vote by the membership. We are being sold on a short term limited issue contract not an entire rewrite of the contract. I have no idea where that idea came from. 11 of the board members (majority) could send something to a vote. I personally think it will get shot down. Posters above want 20% raises. I do too but that isn’t going to happen. Morale is still getting lower and lower. We turned down overtime for holiday trips. Check pilots are quitting in droves. We constantly get reassigned. We sit on hold for hours waiting for hotel rooms at 2am. Our new CEO was just quoted in an article about cutting costs and spending less money. 2 days later he got a pay raise that doubled his pay. That is not going to go over well as the word of this spreads.
We have a new trip trading system coming out that has to be mutually agreed upon and the Union is against it. The company is putting it out anyway. They are doing simulator sessions from 1-5am which is allowed in extenuating circumstances. The Union disagrees but they are doing it any way. A day before we bid for training they came up with an idea of sending pilots two months early. Not one thing has been done about these three recent developments.
This upcoming summer is going to be an absolute nightmare. Every summer is but this one really is. I feel there is absolutely no idea by management how bad it is. The breaking point is approaching rapidly.

This seems like the biggest head scratcher. Going forward it is obvious that every last minute of simulator usage has to be maximized for efficiency, they increase the CQ footprint. Makes zero sense.

Kind of. If you send someone two months early, you're creating a mathematical 10 month cycle. I would have expected the opposite, for folks to be going right on time, with a percentage of grace months added in to minimize training footprint of the CQ crowd. What am I missing?

Not being able to real time trade into trips with fewer days is going to wreck a huge number of people's QOL. I don't think that little tidbit is widely known about TTS Realtime, especially with the more senior dudes.

Maybe an unintended consequence will be that it’s tougher for pilots to reduce their schedule and pick up premium. Less people picking up premium will hurt the company. I’m not anti PM, but until the schedule gets stressed continuously, we aren’t going to see improvements.

is this 100% confirmed? I read the language and it wasn’t exactly clear to me
