The language is so archaic and has been so twisted and distorted over the years that the company and scheduling pull shenanigans all the time based on things like the mythical Scheduling Handbook that supposedly exists and “Well that wasn’t the intent of the language”.
Also, they’ll reference handwritten notes from the 80’s that were taken at a meeting to hash out the intent of contract language. Of course, that person has moved on to a different company or the afterlife by now.
