also, the second thing is when I’m putting my hours in a Cessna 172, you can only put it for PIC, SIC, or instructor. There is no areas to put just simply total time.

during my private pilot training, most of it is total time and not PIC or SIC. so how did you guys log this because my total time on the application is not gonna match up with my logbook with this method.
Not sure about the contractor question. For small aircraft time you are PIC, if you were receiving dual then it is SIC time. If you were a CFI then it is instructor.

You flew corporate jets for a corporate jets company. They (AA) don't care how you got paid and whether your taxes were processed via W-4/W-2 or W-9/1099, just list it as an employer. You flew for that jet company exclusively, so that's a pilot job in my book.

I was a Jan. 10th CJO and after I emailed them, maybe 15 minutes later I was called and offered May 15th or 22nd.

That’s probably fine for resume and app, but if you get a CJO I wouldn’t do that on the background check. IDK if anyone tries to reconcile resumes and background check info, but that company’s HR won’t have a record of you as an employee and they didn’t report your wages to the state so that would be a red flag.

I know AA has slowed hiring. Should I consider it normal that I did the assessment a few weeks ago and haven't heard anything?

Yes. It took me months between doing the assessment and hearing anything else. I applied early though from a military background, so it could have just been based on my far out availability. Did the assessment in Apr 23, didn't hear anything until Sep 23. Availability May 24.

Did the app and got the assesment an hour or so later on 3/2/24. Have also not heard anything yet.

3 Internal recs.

I got interview invites from Delta & Southwest 6 months ago, but wasn't interested at the time so it's seemingly more competitive now 😬

Feb 21, I think most of the Airbus guys (weren’t many) had a bit of a gap. I want to say mid April? 737 just got our assignments a couple days ago. Mid May for most of us, it sounds like. So around 10 weeks post-Indoc. One Airbus guy had to start 2 weeks after Indoc, but I think the rest had 6ish weeks? I expected a break but not this long of a gap. Could the March pause help them catch up? Tune in next week for the next episode of Dragon Ball Z.
