Default Anybody in Class Today?

To those that are starting their new days on the Continental side today. Good luck and if you have time please let us know what is the mood like and the latest word from IAH. Should we call it TH instead of TK?

Have fun guys and keep us informed. Thanks.

Coto, where were you on the list? I am 402 and it looks like Dec. 13 for me. Not verified yet. Will know for sure by Monday at the latest.

I think I had around 525 ahead of me, hired in January 2000. I am thinking it might not be until January for me.

Class update. Started on tues, 8-5 mon-fri first two weeks
then to sims. Met union and company management, everyone
very nice and glad to see us. 3 747 capt, 2 757 capt, 2 320 capt
2 777 f/o and 3 320 f/0. Pay 88-191.
Ioe for all beginning of dec. Will bid for remaining of dec.

Benefits seem to have more options then UA. Work rules
Pretty much FARs. Long and short call reserve 9/3 hour
Call out. Lot of company difference, some good, some bad
and everything in flux.
Hope it helps.

Not saying that is not what you were told, but I'd probably recheck that.

If your IOE is scheduled for beginning of December, you will have a "tentative" schedule that training makes for you showing IOE and a possible schedule after you finish. Once you are finished with IOE, you will be released to scheduling who will make a schedule up for you based on what they want to do with you.

You can attempt to put in a request with scheduling after you complete IOE. However, when I went through I called to request a certain schedule and was told my qualifications weren't in the system so they couldn't do anything, but to call back the next day. By the time I called back the next day, they had built a schedule for me and said it was too late since they already did it.

Don't think there is going to be any point during training where you will "bid" for what the rest of your December is going to look like. There wasn't when anyone I know was hired. You should be able to bid in December for January, however.
