We dont have near the WB slots as UAL/DL

Our trip trading has been completely locked down the last 5 months. 100% lockdown.

89hr PBS awarded lines for the bottom 50%

Yes the upgrade will be 2 years in LGA but man, those are some uncommutable crap trips. start at 0700 day 1, finish day 2 in the late evening for....10:30. Can pick up the day prior because you start too early and cant pick up the next day because you get back too late.

I am at 5 years and can barely hold 777 fo in lga.

Good luck but I would go elsewhere, wish I would have
Its not too late to go elsewhere. Seniority progression isn’t the panacea it once was when you can upgrade or go WB elsewhere at year 2 and have thousands behind you on the seniority list. Keep in mind, you likely won’t make WB CA at an OAL if you are over 40 but one can make great money as a NB CA anyway.

Been here 10 years. Unless you’re really young and demand to live in an AA base, go to Delta

38 and live in western PA. Always going to be a commuter. At least that's the plans for now. My options are AA prob in feb/March or delta via flow Feb 2024.

maybe go to AA in Feb and then immediately apply to DAL. They would probably be happy to poach you from AA.

Go AA then reapply to DAL/UAL. AA DAL and UAL all seem to be poaching from legacy new hire classes regularly, making contact about a month in and class dates within 6 months. it’s not uncommon for a handful of new hires to come from the competition because of better bases to stay local etc.

Come to AA but come knowing you have one foot out the door for when Delta or United calls. It’s not worth it to be invested in this toxic environment that’s been forged over decades of mistrust and abuse.

DAL career will be a better choice than AAL.

Not sure how true it is. But DAL is putting a penalty on us of 6-12 months if we leave their system to go somewhere else then apply to delta ots. As for UA I already got a TBNT back in Oct. Told to reapply in 12 months. So that's not a guarantee. Definitely appreciate all the info. I know it's been a crap show over there for a long time and really hope it gets better for all the pilots. Good thing with the delay in training I'll have some time to think and talk it over with the wife.

QOL is subjective, depends on base, commuting etc. I’m a commuter and until I move closer to base it’s so so. I reserve the jumpseat on us.

Open time varies, the summer was crazy. Easier if you’re on reserve and live in base to pick up OG. Out open time system is not the greatest. Has a learning curve to it. You’ll be waiting for training anyway, I think the time is 3 months to acft training. You’ll get paid average line value for your base and acft. Roughly 82ish a month.

Upgrade in LGA might be less than 2 years after this vacancy. We got some weird text about forced upgrades in lga if you’re out of probation from APA. They will definitely be coming down year by year.

Wow I pay $140 a paycheck for the middle health insurance plan just for myself over at F9!

Wow I finally found someone else who got a TBNT from UAL with a 12 month wait. I interviewed last Jan. I’m at F9 now and live in base. I like it but it’s a ULCC and I question where it will go long term.
