your actual bidding power will be much lower than that because all those people aren’t trained when you show up in base. There is still great movement up, but most of it off the bottom.
Yeah, sure, but ~20 per week are coming in under me every week. Makes commuting a little easier to stomach knowing I will get a line within a couple of months.

That was my expectation on the process of eventually holding DFW. Thank you for the confirmation.

I’m trying to fully comprehend the differences between Domestic and International by reading through the threads. From what I can gather, if you want to hold a line faster bid D over I, but what are the advantages of biding I? Can you switch between D and I?

yes you can in a mutual base exchange or vacancy award.

I'm gonna be in the April 5th class. The gf lives in DFW so shes pushing for me to go out there. I know it will take a solid 6 months to get it but does anyone have insight as to whether aircraft assignment and/or Domestic vs international status greatly changes your wait times? I'm expecting to be mid seniority within class being in my late 30's. I'm already typed on the bus so im assuming training would be a little easier but not at all opposed to a 737 if it helps me out.
Up until recently I had been just leaning towards 737 MIA but DFW is growing on me for cost of living reasons.

you’ll likely get stuck with LGA BUS which is over half the 4/5 class. D or I won’t affect your wait to get to DFW. They will send you to I regardless of you receiving Int training or not

Thanks for the info. I'm assuming the Bus is a better airframe to be on for DFW? I heard the 737 was more senior in DFW? Is that true?

Depends where you are in the selection. Higher on the list MAY be two months, last few names likely closer to three.
