TIA
Also makes a big difference between LGA D or I. You want JFK, definitely bid 737 I

Oh, okay. And could I also do a lot of JFK on the 320? (Just finished getting that type, and I actually like the plane a lot, but maybe I shouldn't be too attached to it.)

As a former 320 guy now on the 737, do yourself a favor and stay on the Airbus. I am not sure how the Airbus is distributed in New York.

Got my CJO on March 28th. Aiming to get the Airbus (47 years old). LAX is my base of choice. Until very recently LAX hasn't been offered. I did see though that the latest class drop had 3 LAX 737 slots. Looking to start INDOC in July.

So...my question is, should there be LAX slots for my class, should I take it even though it may be for the 737 OR choose the Airbus for a different domicile knowing that I'll get LAX eventually.

I have guys in my Reserve unit that fly the Bus and love it. I've also spoken to guys that have flown both the 737 and the Bus and prefer the Bus hands down. Thoughts?

Bid the Bus. Do not even consider the 73. You'll be senior enough to grab a 320. If LAX isn't in your drop, no sweat. Take it to any base, or one you won't mind being in for a few months. You'll bid to LAX in your first vacancy on property while you're in training. You'll be made in the shade in LAX on the Bus in less than 6 months. CongrAAts and welcome.

Curious about your statement here. I’m a new hire on the A320 and haven’t began groundschool yet. I’m already typed on the bus so hopefully training is a little easier. I do consider the 737 but the seat lock thing is bothersome. I hear the 737 flying is better overall. Why do you suggest one stay put on the bus?
