AIP Reached

Anyways, how did our first AIP looked like? They will get what they want. It’s their first offer. I think it has nothing to do with what you call “struggling business”.

If you don't think Fed Ex doesn't have some major issues right now then I have a bridge to sell you. They do not have the same leverage that AA pilots have which makes our AIP all that more embarrassing.

So your argument is comparing leverage during a Black Swan event to what is currently going on? Cool story

Same thing can be said about Delta (and United). Confused about your last sentence. You do understand what leverage means right? Our leverage is that we need to attract 2000 pilots per year and those applicants will dry up unless we have a competitive contract. Wow, you have management material written all over you (that isn't a compliment).

Be no shortage of pilots at the legacy level.
it’s not like at spirit where we lost 70-80% of those we hired per month.

If they aren't drying up, it's because we're lowering our standards. Is that a good thing? Time will tell.

I disagree. Delta, United, SWA, and AA are hiring 2k/year each. Alaska, Spirit, JetBlue, Hawaiian, etc are all hiring. By this time next year, it’s going to be interesting. There can’t be much more than 10k regional pilots in the pipeline at this point.

I can't even count on how many times perceived leverage went poof.
The only way we will know is to roll the dice and vote NO. Do you feel lucky, do you?

I'll take that chance, the AIP is that bad when it comes to QOL. Chicken littles like you have been screaming recession since 2011. Negotiating from a position of fear, APA's hailing trademark (and yours evidentially), is the reason our contract is so bad to begin with when compared to other Majors.
