Currently a WN FO with ~500 hrs here in the 737. Previously flew for an AA WO. I have attended 3 job fairs with meet and greets with AA since May and each time I am told that I am well qualified and always a very positive interaction where I am told things like "you're exactly what we are looking for, I wouldn't be surprised if you hear something soon, etc."

My application has been on file since Feb and I've confirmed with the team on multiple occasions that my application is complete and published but still haven't heard anything.

AA is where I want to be as I am moving to CLT this summer and I have turned down UA and DL as I only want to leave SW for AA to be in base.

I do understand there are others with equal or even much more experience still waiting.

Anyone have any thoughts or ideas?

I was having a similar issue. I worked with a company that looked at my application to see if there was anything not checked and filled out correctly. If somethings are not checked or filled out correctly the app will not publish. I used Pilot Counseling Services. My application was still not being published. Went to OBAP and talked to an AA HR person. They could not see my application on their end. Something was preventing my application from being published. That same HR person forwarded my information to their IT department. They found that one of my attached PDF Letters of Recommendation was preventing my application from being published. Once I removed the specific LOR and submitted it, I received an email shortly after that my application was received and I got the email to take the PST as well.

any volunteer experience? On the old app you could add it to your work experience?

Hey! Yeah quite a bit, actually. But on the new app there's nowhere to put it. I have it on my resume that I've attached, but that's all I can see to do. Had the chance to speak with one of the pilot recruiters at the last meet and greet about it, too.

That's really interesting. I just texted one of the recruiters last week and expressed my concerns of a similar sitaution. They responded right away and told me that my application was complete and published and I have already completed the PST. It was sent to me automatically when they transferred from the old system to the new. Your story makes me still wonder if something is not working properly, though.

Actually, at the last meet and greet, I was speaking with one of the HR recruiters after my meet and greet and she pulled up my application from their end and I logged into mine from my end. We were looking at them side by side because I had a question about something. So that leads me to believe it is definitely visible to them. Thank you for the advice. I'm going to keep that in mind. Good luck!

Not sure how the new one looks but on the old where it asks part time/full time status you could change to volunteer. Hope that helps

They really need to fix that buggy app platform. If something like a hyphen can prevent an app from being "complete" it's poorly coded. Also, They should bring back the final "publish" button as the "save and publish" feature is confusing everyone.

Hi everyone, About a week ago I applied to American via their online application using the Chrome browser as they recommend doing. I filled out the entire application and have gone back to revise it various times, hitting "Save and Submit" at the end of each section and getting the "updated successfully" banner each time. I did not receive any confirmation email from AA after completing the application. I emailed them and no reply. Does anyone have any recommendation as to how I should proceed? Thanks in advance for your help.

Go in and modify your flight hours using the up/down arrows on the application then hit save/submit. Someone told me to do that and I got the confirmation email 5 mins later. All I did was add one hour, hit save, minus one hour and then save...
