Then you haven't done many long NY's...... The hotel itself is on the corner where you get dropped off. It's just not where the entrance to the lobby is. It isn't like the hotel is in the middle of the block from the corner and have to walk to it. There I could see the complaint having merit.
I would rather walk the 50 ft to the door than sit in the NY traffic for them to circle around to get on the street to be dropped off in front of the door.

Sometimes I wonder about some people when I read the hotel reviews pages…..
I get some of it(long drive, etc). But some just boggle the mind and are proof that pilots are entitled little whiny babies. One complains about how the transport company drops us off at the corner of the street the hotel is on and have to walk 50 ft to the hotel instead of taking another 5-10 minutes to circle around( one way street) in order to be dropped off in front of the hotel. Another complains that the hotel gave them a room without a view and thus unsuitable hotel.

A lot of them though are the type that they would rather do their 20 hours in the airport hotel instead( I am here for work, not vacation cause how dare we try to enjoy where we are).

It's Manhattan. The normal rules don't apply, and it's not a legit complaint. Merely going around the block could add 20-30 minutes during rush hour. Do yourself (and the driver) a favor and walk the extra 50 feet.

Short term and just thinking 200 replacement, 787-10 makes sense for our current managements mindset.
But knowing our current managements mindset, that just dooms the 300's and their capability. Management will hate a small 20 aircraft fleet. A350 makes the best long term sense. A350-900 replaces the 200's and eventually the 1000 replaces the 300's. Management is happy with a simplified fleet again and we don't eventually lose the 300's capabilities in our network.

Why United Airlines Doesn’t Want The Airbus A350 Anymore
United’s 787-10s are roughly 19 tons lighter than an equivalent A350, leading to a 5% to 8% lower trip cost on routes under 12 hours. In the competitive transpacific corridor, where United often operates multiple daily frequencies, these savings scale into millions of dollars annually. Furthermore, the 787-10’s cargo hold can accommodate 40 LD3 containers, four more than the A350-900, which is critical for the high-value electronics and time-sensitive products that add to United's revenue.]
